As the title suggests, this is quite a simple recipe, none the less delicious and a definite crowd pleaser.
What makes this great is that it can be whipped up morning, noon and night depending on when you are snacky and takes no time at all to cook.
A handful of button mushrooms (or whatever mushrooms you have available)
1 tsp garlic powder
Vegan cream cheese
A handful of fresh herbs (we used rosemary but thyme would also work great!)
A handful of mixed seeds
A dash of olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Get your oil in a pan, then chop up and throw in your mushrooms. Stir and cover in the oil as they cook slightly then add the garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Continue to stir and cook the mushrooms until they are soft and caramelised then take off the heat but leave in the pan.
Toast your bread, then add a good dollop of your cream cheese, spread as evenly as possible. Add your mushrooms on top along with a sprinkling of herbs and seeds. It really is that easy, and yes, that delicious too!
